Playground Pop-In

We got to spend a little at the playground today. Luke showed Abby around and she was quite proud of what she could do! Afterward we went to Barnes and Noble and Luke found a Mo Willems book from the series Elephant and Piggy. Tonight he sat down and read the whole book himself! It […]

Special Snack

Everyday after school, Luke likes to come home and prepare a special snack for Abby.  He asks that I distract Abby so that it will be a surprise, then he sets everything up.

Kick and Play

Abby just started to take soccer class at school.  She was very proud of the Curious George soccer shirt that she picked out!

Fondant Ninja

Luke was so excited to decorate a cake at Make.  He knew exactly what he wanted to do…Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  He made all of the decorations by hand, and was working so hard that he didn’t even notice that people were ooh-ing and aww-ing at his creation!

Puzzles, YES! 100 Pieces NOT Yet!

Wild Weekend

On Sunday, Luke and Rich went to see Chris and Martin and the Wild Kratz crew at NYU.  Luke loved the show and was very excited to find out that they will soon be coming out with 26 new episodes!  While the guys were creature adventuring, Abby and I played soccer and did puzzles.

Nana’s Birthday Weekend

Last weekend, Nana and Grandpa came to NYC to do some museum hopping and celebrate Nana’s birthday. Luke and Grandpa picked out some yummy cupcakes that were topped with special wine bottle candles. (Luke was very proud to have found these candles and declared that they were very popular, since they were the last ones […]

Abby and Luke are both excelling at swimming lessons. Luke is now in Beginner 2 and is very independent swimming on his front and his back. He is excited to have his good friend from preschool, Louis, in his class this semester. Abby bubbles over with excitement during her swimming lessons. She is in a […]

Post Christmas Fun

We spent an eventful week in Oneonta, going to Howe Caverns, making cold-weather s’mores, playing, and of course, making pancakes. This time, Abby was able to get in on the action. Luke was a good mentor, and Abby made sure to pay close attention to his every move. Abby also got her first haircut and […]
